Epson SX400 great review

Individual ink cartridges save money as only the colours used need to be replaced, but the price genuine Epson ink cartridges are more expensive than most people would like them to be. A set of Epson SX400 ink cartridges cost over £30 for genuine OEM products, fortunately there are compatible printer ink cartridges avaible which cost half as much as the originals but still print the same amount with great print quality. The SX400 has many futures including printing scanning and photo copying many of which don’t require a computer to function. The best results are to be had by using it with a PC however, and setting the machine up installing it on a computer is simple. First set up and you start using the SX400 the first thing that strikes you is it’s a bit noisy, which is a common problem with Epson printers in general. The print speed is also less than impressive, any although Epson claim the SX400 is capable of 34 pages per minute, in the real world it’s more like 5ppm. The quality of the prints produced by the SX400 make for these short comings however, whatever kind of documents whether it be text, graphics or high resolution photos the SX400 performs very well and better than you would expect from a printer in this price range. Scanning is also impressive with the 1200dpi producing pin sharp result when required. The scanner also comes with software for improving scanned photos as well as OCR software for creating editable word text documents from print text scans.
